Category B Driving Test Fault Breakdown
Dear Driving Standards Agency,
Please provide a breakdown of recorded faults on Category B (car) driving tests for fiscal year 2009-10
The information I require is as follows :
Fault ID (from DL25), number of driving faults recorded, number of Serious Faults recorded, Number of Dangerous Faults recorded.
This is aggregated data across all tests for the year.
Ideally this should be broken down into 2 lists - 1 for passed tests and 1 for failed tests that would be better, but one overall total list is acceptable if separate lists are not possible.
Example data I am looking for :
DL25 Fault ID # Driving Faults # Serious #Dangerous
3.Reverse Left control 112,365 1,787 421
3.Reverse Left obs 234,777 11,234 1,666
.
.
26.Awareness/planning 88,888 444 222
Obviously fictitious data, but hopefully it explains what I am looking for.
Thanks.
Yours faithfully,
Mike Ward

Dear [email address],
Thank you for your reply which was extremely helpful.
This is almost exactly what I was looking for but could you please provide a breakdown under the REVERSE PARK category - could you please report the fault figures separately for Reverse Park on the ROAD and Reverse Park in a CAR PAR Kas these are 2 very different manouvres.
The rest of the data is excellent.
Thanks.
Yours sincerely,
Mike Ward
