Thank you for your email and your interest in KEGS.

The number of in-area boys who applied for KEGS for entry 2022 after sitting the CSSE 11+ was 334.

Of these 334, 120 were offered places under the in-area admissions policy.

More than 334 boys who lived in-area sat the 11+ but as the CSSE exam is sat over a number of venues including Colchester, Southend etc. and any boy can sit the exam at any venue we have no way of knowing how may boys living where sat the test across the county. For this information you would need to contact the CSSE who conduct the registration process for the 11+ exams.

They also hold the information regarding raw scores.

We have the information regarding standardised scores only.

The lowest standardised score offered a place on National Offer Day 2022 for an in-area candidate was 344.7

The lowest standardised score for in-area pupils entering Year 7 on 1st September 2022 who was not in receipt of pupil premium was 344 (rounded to the nearest whole number).
