Cash in lieu of USS pension contributions

The request was successful.

Dear Heriot-Watt University,

Are any of your senior Academic or Professional Services staff receiving cash in lieu of USS pension contributions as part of their remuneration packages?

I do not wish to identify any individuals by name or role but I would like a breakdown of opt-out numbers by school or service together with an indication of whether the beneficiary is faculty or professional services staff.

Anonymised

Yours faithfully
Gary Watt

Dear Freedom Of Information at Heriot-Watt

Thank-you for this link.

I would like to know the number of employees on HE national spine point 45 or above who currently receive a cash benefit instead of an employer contribution into the USS scheme.

If you offer these terms please break down by academic and non-academic members of staff.

Yours sincerely,
Gary Watt
