I refer to your request for information regarding the Local Development
Plan (LDP), which was received on 25th October, 2010 and has been dealt
with under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.  Please accept my sincere
apologies for not providing this response within the 20 working days
required by the Act.

The specific information you requested was as follows:

1. Could you please provide the cost incurred by Carmarthenshire County
Council to date for the preparation of
    
a) Carmarthen West Planning and Development Brief and
    
b) Llandeilo Northern Residential Quarter Planning and Development Brief
    
c) Carmarthenshire Local Development Plan
    
Please confine your response to the amount paid, or payable, to; Davies
Richards Design Partnership, Atkins Ltd, Arup Ltd, Nathaniel Lichfield and
Partners, Mayer Brown, Environmental Dimension Partnership and John
Francis Estate Agents, Jacobs Engineering UK Ltd and any other external
planning, technical and legal advisors/consultants associated with a),b)
and c).

    
Please also include, within the breakdown, the external expenditure
incurred for planning or engineering consultancies/advice associated with
planning application W/23866 for the proposed dual carriageway for a)
above.

  
2. Could you please also provide your projected expenditure on external
private consultancy for a), b) and c) for the next five years.

    
3. Could you please detail the tender process involved in appointing the
above company/companies and also the total and individual value of the
external contracts, including future anticipated costs.
