Carillion & Cambridgeshire County Council £5.5m contract Chisholm Trail & Abbey-Chesterton Bridge

The request was partially successful.

Dear Sir/Madam

I note that there was a meeting between Carillion directors and Cambridgeshire County Council with respect to the Abbey-Chesterton Bridge project sometime after 15 Jan 2018 to discuss a contract to construct the Chisholm Trail and Abbey-Chesterton Bridge, Cambridge with a value of approximately £5.5m. The contract is funded by City Deal and Section 106 funding.

See https://www.greatercambridge.org.uk/news...

The following is extracted from the above Greater Cambridge website and is dated after Carillion entered receivership Wednesday, February 7, 2018 :

"The work on the project that was being undertaken by Carillion and Tarmac Joint Venture will be carrying on as usual. The Greater Cambridge Partnership have had discussions with directors from both companies forming the joint venture and have received reassurances that the project will not be delayed as a result of the Carillion collapse."

Please can you :

1. State which Carillion directors ( or other representatives ) attended this meeting and in what official capacity they were representing the company
2. State the date of the meeting and who else was present
3. Supply minutes of the meeting if available
4. Confirm what assurances were given on project delivery by Carillion
5. Confirm whether there is presently a valid contract in place between Carillion or a Carillion-Tarmac Joint Venture for construction of the bridge
6. Confirm the value of that contract and who signed it.
7. Confirm the date on which any contract was signed and the form of the contract

The following FOI response indicates that there was no contract signed prior to Carillion being taken into receivership :
https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/c...

8. Please can you confirm if there was a contract in place between Carillion or a Carillion-Tarmac Joint Venture prior to Carillion being taken into receivership ( let as per the competitive tender mentioned for the works on 12 July 2017 within https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/c... )

Many thanks for your assistance

Best wishes

Chris Smith
