Freedom of Information – Coronavirus Update
Our response to Freedom of Information Requests (FOIs) may take longer for
us to complete at the moment because of COVID-19 implications. Freedom of
Information staff can work productively from home but are mindful that
many CCG staff are involved in crucial work to support Banes, Swindon and
Wiltshire residents through this difficult time, and this may impact their
ability to provide the information needed to respond to some requests in a
timely manner.
The Information Commissioners Office (ICO) has advised that although they
are unable to extend statutory timescales, they will advise people that
they may experience understandable delays when making FOIs, EIRs or SARs
during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Prioritising essential services
Please be aware that under current circumstances and our need to
prioritise essential services to ensure the wellbeing of our residents,
you may experience a delay in your response.
Following guidance from the ICO, we will keep requestors informed of any
delays and will respond as soon as resources allow. We will also be
keeping up to date on guidance from the ICO as the situation changes to
ensure that we comply with any changes or amendments to information rights
practice.

Dear NHS Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire Clinical Commissioning Group,
Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.
I am writing to request an internal review of NHS Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire Clinical Commissioning Group's handling of my FOI request 'Care placements for adults with learning disabilities and epilepsy'.
I note that you are unable to comply with my request for the information to be provided in my preferred format, but I note that ICO guidance [https://ico.org.uk/media/for-organisatio... states that if you are "unable to provide the information by the preferred means, we consider that it would be good practice for the public authority to discuss with the requester whether they can provide the information in another form that would be acceptable".
I would like to request an internal review, with particular attention to this point.
Other NHS bodies have been able to respond to my request by providing information for all learning disabled adults supported, noting that this is applicable to CHC categories which do not differentiate for epilepsy. I am happy to receive the information requested in this format.
A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/c...
Yours faithfully,
C Waits
