Dear Barnet Borough Council

I would like to know how I can become a provider for Barnet Council.

I have my Supported living accommodation business for 16-18 year old females in Birmingham.

I want to know how I can register as a provider and the process for spot purchase.

Breakdown in how many care leavers were placed out of the borough in 2017/2018, average weekly costs and contact details should I require further details

Yours faithfully,

Natasha McNair

Response

The council holds the information requested and it is attached/ the
answers to your questions are below

 Dear Barnet Borough Council

I would like to know how I can become a provider for Barnet Council.

The London borough of Barnet is part of the West London Alliance.

The WLA is developing a new procurement approach- a Dynamic Purchasing
Vehicle for 16+ accommodation, including supported accommodation.

We would advise any new providers who may wish to place with us to contact
the West London Alliance (WLA) for information and to register interest:

info@wla.london / 020 8825 8921

I have my Supported living accommodation business for 16-18 year old
females in Birmingham. I want to know how I can register as a provider and
the process for spot purchase.

The Head of Service with responsibility for placements is Sarah Lowe. You
can contact her via [email address] or 020 8359 2000. Spot
placements are only made in instances where needs cannot be met through in
house or commissioned services.

Breakdown in how many care leavers were placed out of the borough in
2017/2018, average weekly costs and contact details should I require
further details

106 young people were already in, or were placed in an Out of Borough
(OOB) provision in 2017/18

58 placements OOB were actually made during 2017/18

Advice and Assistance : Direct Marketing

If you are a company that intends to use the names and contact details of
council officers (or other officers) provided in this response for direct
marketing, you need to be registered with the Information Commissioner to
process personal data for this purpose.  You must also check that the
individual (whom you wish to contact for direct marketing purposes) is not
registered with one of the Preference Services to prevent Direct
Marketing. If they are you must adhere to this preference. You must also
ensure you comply with the Privacy Electronic and Communications
Regulations (PECR). For more information follow this Link
[2]www.ico.org.uk For the avoidance of doubt the provision of council
(and other) officer names and contact details under FOI does not give
consent to receive direct marketing via any media and expressly does not
constitute a 'soft opt-in' under PECR.

writing to the Information Management Team at: [Barnet Borough Council request email]. Or by

Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire, SK9 5AF (telephone: 0303
