Care home resident confidentiality

The request was refused by Bexley Borough Council.

Dear Bexley Borough Council,

If a resident in a care home makes an allegation of abuse against a visitor but says that they do not want to take any action and do not want the visitor to be told and wish to continue receiving their visits does the visitor on learning there has been an allegation, have a right to the information that the care home holds about them?

Yours faithfully,

ellen warren
