Care home closures in Bradford - Update on Expanded Scope

The request was successful.

Dear Bradford City Council,

I had previously made an FOI request on the 21st of January 2020 titled "Carehome closures in Bradford", which was restricted and limited to the closure of any and all Carehomes owned and operated by Bradford Council. See the following:
https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/c...

In this, my updated scope FOI request looks to return to ask the same question but to expand the scope to any and all Care and residential homes operated in the district of Bradford, irrespective of ownership, given the recently published T&A article titled "Shock over timescale to close two care homes in Bradford" of the 6th of July 2023.

Q1. Please can you tell me the name, address, owner and date of closure of any and all care or residential homes that have operated in the District of Bradford and have subsequently closed over the last 23 years, commencing from 1st January 2000 to the 8th of August 2023?

Yours faithfully,

Mr Hussain

Dear FOI ACS,

Thank you for your response.

Please can you advise how I would go about determining the care home closures in Bradford from 2000 to 2010, which is information you do not hold, other than making a similar request to the Care Quality Commission (CQC)?

Yours sincerely,

Mr Hussain

Dear Mr Hussain

Thank you for your email asking for advice about how you would go about determining the care home closures in Bradford from 2000 to 2010, which is information we do not hold. I have contacted the relevant team and we think that your suggestion of contacting Care Quality Commission (CQC) is worth trying as they may provide some answers for you.

For your information, CQC came into effect in April 2009, prior to this date it was the Commission for Social Care Inspection and before then the National Care Standards Commission.

Regards.
