Thank you for your request for information about carbon literacy training
for senior councillors and staff, which we received on 16 January 2023. 
Your request has been considered under the Environmental Information
Regulations 2004 (EIR).

The information you requested is:

 a. Have all senior management received carbon literacy training or
equivalent since 1st January 2019? Please state the type of training.

Some managers in the organisation have already undertaken carbon
literacy training; further sessions are being offered throughout 2023.

The course that is being offered to both officers and Members by the
County Council is: Carbon Literacy Project CC000367.  There are also two
other elements of training that are being made available.  Climate Fresk
is being offered to teams; three sessions have been delivered to date.  An
e-learning module is also in development.

b. Have all current councillors in the cabinet or committee chairs
received carbon literacy training or equivalent since being elected?
Please state the type of training.

At present no Councillors have completed training but members will be
invited to book onto sessions in 2023.

The course that is being offered to both officers and Members by the
