Car Pool

The request was partially successful.

Dear Bristol City Council,

Please provide all designated journeys taken by the mayor (either as driver or passenger) using a BCC car from the car pool between April 2015 and the 9th February 2016.

Please provide details of how many cars there are in the BCC car pool and the annual cost per car to the council. Please confirm if they are hired (leased) cars or purchased vehicles. Please provide costs per annum per car for leasing or purchase.

I note with interest the response to this FOI request https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/o... which is incomprehensible in it's presentation of data and appears to exclude the mayor's visit to Picton Street last year in early 2015 where he arrived in a pool car - why?

Yours faithfully,

Chris Martin

Dear "No Reply @ Bristol" <[email address]>,

The response to this request is now overdue - please can you respond by return today with details are per the request.

Failure to do so will result in my having to make a complaint to the ICO - I note from the ICO that BCC has a very poor rate of response and late response reputation which must be improved surely?

Yours sincerely,

Chris Martin

Dear Bristol City Council,

Yet another FOI request is overdue. Please respond and in the meantime I shall log with ICO that it is late.

Yours faithfully,

Chris Martin

We refer to your request for information under the Freedom of

1, Please provide all designated journeys taken by the mayor (either as
driver or passenger) using a BCC car from the car pool between April
2015 and the 9th February 2016.

2. Please provide details of how many cars there are in the BCC car pool
and the annual cost per car to the council. Please confirm if they are

which is incomprehensible in it's presentation of data and appears to
exclude the mayor's visit to Picton Street last year in early 2015 where
he arrived in a pool car - why?

Please see below for the following response:

1, Please see attached PDF.

2, Bristol City Council is currently piloting a car share scheme with
Enterprise, as part of the pilot there are 25 low emission diesel cars
and 2 electric cars.

Full costs, minus fuel:

25 x low emission diesels, £430 per month per car
2 x fully electric cars, £550 per month per car

Bristol City Council, Fleet Services own 18 dedicated pool cars.

Full costs, minus fuel (costs are an average across the 18 vehicles)

18 x fully owned dedicated pool cars, £206 per month per car

3, The information provided for the FOI request,
https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/o...,
was produced from looking at fleet vehicles that were reserved and hired
in the Mayor’s name. The vehicle used for the visit of Picton Street,
was hired by another employee within the Mayor’s team.

My original request clearly stated "Please could you provide information as to every instance of when George Ferguson has utilised an official fleet car from Bristol City Council"

I would argue that sitting in the passenger seat, is utilising. There was no mention of 'in the Mayor’s name.'
