Dear Lewisham Borough Council,

My FOI request is overdue; by law, I should have received the answer by 15 February. I have submitted two public questions on this subject for the council meeting on 3 March, so I need the answers in good time.
I would be grateful if you could expedite this. Thanks.

Dear Lewisham Borough Council,

My FOI request 'Capital expenditure on Leisure Centres and other sports facilities 2013 to 2021' has been delayed. By law, it should have been answered by 15 February.

It is unfortunate, as today there is a public meeting on the future of The Bridge Leisure Centre, and I had hoped to have this data available.

Please can you expedite this request, as I am asking supplementary questions at the council meeting on 3rd March?

Yours faithfully,

Julia Webb

Dear Wendy,

The council meeting is in 48 hours, and I still don't have the FOI response data, needed for my secondary public questions. Please can you expedite this? I am baffled why it wasn't produced swiftly, as the leisure services contract has been scrutinised very recently, and the capital expenditure figures must be already prepared.

Best wishes,

Julia

Dear Lewisham Borough Council,

I have received your response, and the stated figures contradict those given last week in another request (Reference No: 8309357). It doesn't fill me with confidence.

Please could you recalculate, and also specify the capital project that figures refer to, as requested in my original request. Users of The Bridge Leisure Centre are puzzled as to how this money was spent.

Yours faithfully,

Julia Webb

Reference No:8310357/8309357-Appeal response

We have now considered your appeal of our original response to you. Your request was for information regarding Capital expenditure on leisure centres. In summary, we wish to retract our response provided in relation to the Bridge Leisure Centre expenditure for FOI 8309357 and refer back to the response provided for FOI 8310357 (re-attached)

After investigating this further, the officer who provided the information for these requests, came across further spend attributable to the Bridge Leisure Centre. They would like to apologise for this inconsistency and any inconvenience this may have caused you.

We hope you find this response to your review satisfactory. However, you have a further right of appeal against this decision, which you can do so in writing, stating your reasons to the regulating body, the Information Commissioner's Office.

Dear Wendy Stevens,

Thank you so much for your response. Unfortunately, I have still not received any breakdown of the expenditure, as requested in my original question. I need to understand how this vast amount has been spent, given the cabinet member himself admits that the site has been badly neglected. I need to separate out maintenance expenditure on the leisure centre itself, from work on the sports pitches and so on.
I will wait for your response, and hope I don't have to involve the ICO, which would be my next step.

Yours sincerely,

Julia Webb
