Canvass Response Rates by Stage from 2012 to 2016

This request has been withdrawn by the person who made it. There may be an explanation in the correspondence below.

Dear Leeds City Council,

I am requesting the date that each stage of the canvass was sent and responded to between 2012 and 2016 (inclusive), in order to model and analyse the costs incurred through the canvass, and trends thereof.

For each year, I require:

1) The date and method by which each stage of the canvass was sent (i.e. the day that the forms were delivered to the postal service, tagged as initial form, first reminder, or second reminder, or the day that door-knocking began, tagged as house visit). If not possible, date of export from the Electoral Management System (EMS).

e.g.
method,date,number of houses
Initial HEF,01/08/2012,123456
First Reminder,05/09/2012,24680
...

2) The number of responses received on each day of the canvass, broken down by:
a) Current ward if possible, or across the local authority if not.
b) The method of response (postal, to canvasser, in person, online, etc.).

e.g.
ward,method,03/08/2012,04/08/2012,05/08/2012,...
Adel and Wharfedale Ward,post,0,0,4,...
Adel and Wharfedale Ward,online,5,16,45,...
...

Part 2 of the data should be obtainable by direct query of the EMS database, part 1 is presumably recorded as part of correspondence with external printers.

Your time and co-operation in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Yours faithfully,

S. Chishty
