Can self employed bailiffs work for contracted partners without regulation and full disclosure/safety checks?

This request has been withdrawn by the person who made it. There may be an explanation in the correspondence below.

Dear The Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman,

under foi can you answer the following

are local councils legally allowed to make a contract with third party enforcement agents that subsequently employ someone self employed

who is liable for the actions of the self employed person working for said agent

what control does the council have over a self employed agent who is secondary to the effect of bad practice of the first party ie contracted party

what checks are done on behalf of the council by the contracted party .where is this information held ?

what is the contracted law of a local council when employing self employed parties on behalf of a council

If the self employed party breaks the law causing serious damage to the customer of the council what is the effect on the contract ?

Yours faithfully,

dan74

Dear Trish Farman,

i do not think this is a case now for lgo to answer

i would prefer the priority on answering my concerns regarding why you would advise a vulnerable person to go to court rather than other remedies as per dr jane martins response to foia requests

it is a concern that the lgo have tried to whitewash the fact i was told to go to court with a large council when it was clear i didnt have the means or the capacity due to my mental health care to take up this remedy

as a result serious damage was done

i would like you to withdraw this request but spend time on getting me a responsible answer on the above point raised in other foia requests

Yours sincerely,

dan74
