Derek Canning LLB [HONS]

Dear Sir or Madam,

Given the document below can my MP ask questions on my behalf in the House of Commons?

HANSARD 1803–2005 → 1980s → 1988 → December 1988 → 5 December 1988 → Written Answers (Commons) → ENVIRONMENT
Wildlife and Countryside Act
HC Deb 05 December 1988 vol 143 cc11-2W 11W
§ Mr. Hind
To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will make a statement on his proposals to amend section 53 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 following the decision in the case of Rubinstein and another v. Secretary of State for the Environment.
12W
§ Mrs. Virginia Bottomley
Our intention is to introduce legislation, when a suitable opportunity occurs, to return to the situation that was assumed to exist prior to the judgment in the Rubinstein case. This will enable surveying authorities, on the discovery of evidence, to make orders correcting mistakes in the recording of rights of way on the definitive map.

FOICOMMONS, House of Commons

Dear Mr Canning

I am sorry that we did not respond to you on this. In recent weeks, for
understandable reasons, we have received many FOI requests and are
working hard to reduce the backlog. Our complaints process is detailed
below

You ask if your MP can ask questions in the House of Commons on your
behalf. We do not hold any information that would answer this question
but I hope that the following assists. The rules governing the content
of PQs are described in the linked fact sheet. All questions are made
in the MP's name. Whether or not your MP would take up an issue on you
behalf will be for him or her to decide.
