Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Local Resilience Forum - Meeting Papers

The request was successful.

Dear Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service,

Could you please release the agenda, minutes, papers and presentations for meetings of the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Local Resilience Forum.

I would like to restrict my request to meetings held since 24 July 2015.

I do not wish this request to place any undue burden on the service so in the case of any material, other than the agenda and minutes, which would require significant consideration or redaction prior to release I am happy to receive a description of the material; such descriptions (advice and assistance) will enable me to decide if to make a specific request for any such material.

Regards,

Dear Mr Taylor

In response to your request under the Freedom of Information Act, we appreciate the respondents request for minutes and agendas - this has saved an enormous amount of work in reviewing all the papers dealt with within the LRF

We have redacted two documents and the following explains our reasons and exemption clause within the Act.

In relation to minutes of the 30 July and the 24 September 2015 we rely on s31 of the Freedom of information Act 2000 as the information contained in the minutes if disclosed would, or would be likely to, prejudice -

(a) the prevention or detection of crime,
(b) the apprehension or prosecution of offenders,
(c) the administration of justice,

The information relates to ongoing investigations by LRF partners and disclosure could jeopardise investigations as to whether any person has failed to comply with the law. In applying this exemption, we have come to the view that the public interest in preventing prejudice to the ongoing investigations outweighs the public interest in disclosure.

In relation to the minute of the 30 July 2015, we rely on s36 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000, as it is our reasonable opinion that disclosure would prejudice, or would be likely otherwise to prejudice, the effective conduct of public affairs. The information is sensitive information as to issues concerning disruptions at Calais. In applying this exemption, we have come to the view that the public interest in preventing prejudice to the ongoing management of security at Calais outweighs the public interest in disclosure.

I have attached a copy of the CFRS Freedom of Information Complaints Procedure for your information.

Please do not hesitate to contact me should I be able to provide any further assistance.

Yours sincerely
Patricia
