Dear Mr Dean,
Your request was received on 2 June 2013 and I am dealing with it under the terms of the Freedom of
Information Act 2000 (‘the Act’).
You asked for:
“(A) The full A Level results, arranged according to subject followed by grade, at H1, H2 and H3
Levels, of all Singaporean applicants who took the Singapore-Cambridge A Level examinations
and were
(i) Interviewed and Offered
(ii) Interviewed and Rejected
(iii) Not Interviewed
for the latest admissions exercise cycle to your Economics course at undergraduate level.
(B) The total number of Singaporean applicants, applicants who were interviewed, offers and
acceptances for your Economics course at undergraduate level for the latest admissions
exercise cycle.”
(The University has quoted the revised version of question (B) as submitted in a later email of the same
date.)
The University does not hold information to answer question (A) or question (B) insofar as it relates to
interviews. All interview processes for entry to undergraduate degree courses at the University are set
and managed locally by each of the individual Colleges. Each of these 31 Cambridge Colleges is a
separate public authority under the Act. A full list is published at:
http://map.cam.ac.uk/colleges/
Please note that all of these Colleges admit to undergraduate degree courses apart from Clare Hall
and Darwin College.

from Singaporean applicants for Economics for entry in 2012. This is as follows:
Applications: 51
Offers: 8
Acceptances: 6
Please note the following with regard to this information:
(i) Figures are provided for entry year 2012. This includes standard entry applications from the 2012
application round and deferred entry applications from the 2011 round.
(ii) Domicile information is based on the Area of Permanent Residence declared by applicants to
UCAS.
If you are unhappy with the service you have received in relation to your request and wish to make a
complaint or request an internal review of this decision, you should write to Dr Kirsty Allen, Head of the
Registrary’s Office, quoting the reference above, at The Old Schools, Trinity Lane, Cambridge, CB2
1TN or send an email marked for her attention to xxx@xxxxx.xxx.xx.xx. The University would normally
expect to receive your request for an internal review within 40 working days of the date of this letter and
reserves the right not to review a decision where there has been undue delay in raising a complaint. If
you are not content with the outcome of your review, you may apply directly to the Information
Commissioner for a decision. Generally, the Information Commissioner cannot make a decision unless
you have exhausted the complaints procedure provided by the University. The Information
Commissioner may be contacted at: The Information Commissioner’s Office, Wycliffe House, Water
Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire, SK9 5AF (http://www.ico.org.uk/).
Yours sincerely,
James Knapton
