Camberwell Railway Station Business Case

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Transport for London should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Transport For London,
On behalf of Priority Action for Camberwell (PACT) community organisation campaigning for better transport in camberwell Green. You have delayed the business case to September according to your representatives. By the time, i get a reply from your organisation next month the business case is expected to be ready for the public by then.

I would like to know if's there a strong possibility of Camberwell Railway station in Camberwell Green of reopening in the future. We have spoken to Southwark Council and local stakeholders about this matter and are fully supported behind this.

Transport in Camberwell is extremely poor as we have no other transport links to central London other than local buses serving the town centre. After the Bakerloo Line extension has missed the area totally after years of waiting ever since 1980's for it to come to the area.

Yours faithfully,

B.Edwards

FOI, Transport for London

Dear B Edwards

Thank you for your correspondence.

The Freedom of Information Act gives a right to individuals to access
recorded information held by a public authority at the time the request is
received. Although a request can take the form of a question, rather than
a request for specific documents, we do not have to answer your question
if it would require the creation of new information or the provision of a
judgement, explanation, advice or opinion that was not already recorded at
the time of your request.

We have reviewed your correspondence, and although it has been addressed
to the FOI team, there is not a sufficiently clear description of any
recorded information you want to access. We have therefore passed your
enquiry on to our Customer Services as they will be in a better position
to advise you if we have any future plans regarding Camberwell Railway
station.

I am sorry I am unable to assist you on this occasion.

Kind regards
