We refer to your email received on 27 September 2024 which contained a
request for information as set out in italics below.  Firstly, please
accept our apologies for the delay in responding to you. 
Following consideration of your request, in accordance with the Freedom of
Information Act 2000, I respond to each point as follows:

Under the Freedom of Information Act, I would like to request the
following information:

The number of calories in free school meals provided to primary school
children between May 2021 and September 2024.

The Council does not hold the requested information as it is not possible
to identify a single calorie count number of any given free meal as
requested.

Bridgend has a multiple-choice menu and, as a consequence, there are many
potential meal combinations all with differing calorific counts.

All primary school menus have achieved overall compliance level required
within the Healthy Eating in Schools (Nutritional Standards and
Requirements) (Wales) Regulations 2013 annually since 2014.

I hope this response satisfies your request. If you are dissatisfied with
the handling of the request, under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 you
have the right to request a review of the Council’s response to your
request for information.  If you wish to request a review, please write to
