Delivering High Quality Care
Dear Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust,
I have reviewed your response:
"We have the 2 machines serviced yearly by Dantec Dynamics, which is under contract.
For formal paper records and manufacture details you would need to contact Dantec Dynamics direct who supply and service our machines."
I have had no luck in the past getting a response from Dantec Dynamics myself as they do not have a relationship with me.
Could I please request that you reach out to Dantec that you have a contract with in order to source the maintenance records for the ECT machines that you manage and operate so that you can supply these records to me?
Yours sincerely,
Nicholas Webb

Dear Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust,
"ECT Department, Bodmin Hospital" is ECTAS accredited for ECT by the Royal College of Psychiatrists. This means that you are required to comply with the following standard in checking and recording machine function and maintenance to receive the accreditation:
"1.53
The ECT nurse ensures that the machine function and maintenance is checked and recorded at least every year or according to machine guidance "
Source: https://www.rcpsych.ac.uk/docs/default-s...
I am requesting these records for the last five years.
It is an appropriate and efficient use of public resources because you are required to be holding these records as part of receiving ECTAS accreditation. This request is important for the public interest of patient safety. Especially since there was a recent death at an ECT clinic in the UK.
Yours sincerely,
Nicholas Webb
Good afternoon Mr Webb,

I hope this is some help to you.
