Dear Ms Clayton,

Please see below response from the officer:

"Sorry for the delay but I am unable to get any transcript of the regional response to the EHE consultation as I can’t access any minutes and another officer has retired. However I have ascertained that the regional response to the consultation was that the current regulations were not fit for purpose. The considered opinion was that:

• all EHE students should be registered with the LA
• The La should have the right to see the child
• That non-engagement with the LA should not be an option
• There needs to be a tighter definition of what is suitable education"
