The request was partially successful.

Dear Calderdale Metropolitan Borough Council,

Please could you provide details of the design agency and cost of the council's corporate identity/logo introduced in 2003. It would be helpful to include any documents related to it such as brand guidelines and the market research report that led to its introduction.

Yours faithfully,
Mrs Janet Smith

Calderdale Against Corruption left an annotation ()

It is interesting to note that CMBC claim they do not have details of an external agency to which they "anecdotally" paid £400.00 of taxpayers' cash to.

It is also unthinkable that they did not retain the market research as it would have helped in future re-branding exercises and may have saved money by avoiding any common pitfalls raised in the original market research.

It is clear that they did retain some information as they reference the spot colours and Pantone references of their printed literature, which could have only been obtained and supplied from the original designer of the logo.
