Dear Gwynedd Council,

I'm writing to you asking for information on the following issues in regards to streets and areas in Bangor:

When was fly tipping in Coed Mawr and Maes Berea last 'dealt with'?

Why was fly tipping in Coed Mawr and Maes Berea last dealt with? (At who's request if a councillor)

When were there handrails and railings last installed at Bryn Llwyd, Coed Mawr, Cil Coed?
Where are they located?
Why were they placed there?

When was the last time drainage was cleared in Caernarfon Road and When were new manhole covers placed? Why and at who's request?

When was the last time speed limit was adjusted on Caernarfon Road? Where exactly did this adjustment happen and at who's request?

Where is the residents only parking along Caernarfon road? when was it put there and at who's request?

Where are the latest pedestrian crossings to be installed along caernarfon road and in coed mawr? When were the put there and at who's request?

Where is the new community family allotment scheme in the Dewi Ward Area? When was it set up and at who's request?

where is the new disabled parking area in Tre Hwfa and Coed Mawr, when were they put there and at who's request?

Are any of these above mentioned works "in the pipeline" and if so when are they scheduled?

Thank you for your recent request. Please see below for the information
requested:

 

I'm writing to you asking for information on the following issues in
regards to streets and areas in Bangor:

 

1.       When was fly tipping in Coed Mawr and Maes Berea last 'dealt
with'? Coed Mawr 17/02/17, Maes Berea 23/01/17

 

2.       Why was fly tipping in Coed Mawr and Maes Berea last dealt with?
(At who's request if a councillor) Reported by a member of the publicon
both occassions

 

3.       When were there handrails and railings last installed at Bryn
Llwyd, Coed Mawr, Cil Coed? The handrail was installed during January 2017

                   Where are they located? The handrail is located outside
No47 Bryn Llwyd, Bangor

Why were they placed there? The handrail was installed following a
requests from the local councillor on behalf of the residents of Bryn
Llwyd and Coed Mawr.

 

4.       When was the last time drainage was cleared in Caernarfon Road
and When were new manhole covers placed? Why and at who's request?

Drainage – Gully cleansing undertaken along Caernarfon Road, Bangor
between 31/05/16 and 03/06/16.

Manholes – 2no rocking sewer manhole covers were replaced on the 30^th of
October 2016 near Mcdonalds, by Hogan Construction Ltd whilst carrying out
resurfacing works on behalf of British Telecom. The defective covers were
installed and financed by Hogan Construction due to defects arising
following the resurfacing scheme on Caernarfon Rd.

Manholes – Numerous defective covers and frames were changed along
Caernarfon Road between 2012 and 2014 whilst carrying out resurfacing
works. The relevant utility companies provided the covers and frames.

 

5.       When was the last time speed limit was adjusted on Caernarfon
Road? Where exactly did this adjustment happen and at who's request? There
is currently a proposal for an extension of the 30 mph speed restriction
from Coed Mawr roundabout to the Tesco roundabout. This was a proposal by
the Traffic Unit following complaints by the Local Councillors and
residents.

 

6.       Where is the residents only parking along Caernarfon road? when
was it put there and at who's request? There are no residential parking
bays along Caernarfon road

 

7.       Where are the latest pedestrian crossings to be installed along
caernarfon road and in coed mawr? When were the put there and at who's
request? There are currently no proposed new crossing points along
Caernarfon road or Coed Mawr.

 

8.       where is the new disabled parking area in Tre Hwfa and Coed Mawr,
when were they put there and at who's request? There are currently no
proposed disabled parking bays in the stipulated areas.
