Cabinet office polling summary

The request was refused by Cabinet Office.

Dear Cabinet Office,

Please provide a list of campaigns, projects or policies for which you have conducted polling since 1st January 2020 and where those campaigns, projects or policies are no longer "in development."

This follows a request for more detailed information earlier this year that was first delayed, then refused for an inappropriate reason then subsequently refused (after internal review agreed the wrong exemption had been initially apllied) for the reason of cost.

I was advised to request more specific information to help reduce cost but I am not sure how to phrase this therefore i am asking you to provide a list that will allow me to subsequently request specifics. If you decide that i am too vague at present, please can you provide information or guidance on how I might resubmit with language that might aid success in future.

Yours faithfully,

Robert Davidson

Dear Cabinet Office,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Cabinet Office's handling of my FOI request 'Cabinet office polling summary'.
In my request I specifically said that if I was being vague then it would help if the responding officer could help provide language or terms that would allow a more specific request in future. This is in keeping with the spirit of FOI legislation where, for example, it is expected that a responding officer might point to where data is held if not held by their organisation or department.

Your officer did no such thing. They simply said, too vague, too expensive, cant help.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/c...

Yours faithfully,

Robert Davidson
