Dear Mr Barnes

 

Thank you for your recent request made under the Freedom of Information
Act, which has been received by Wirral Borough Council. However, we are
unable to proceed with your request until clarification of your request is
received.

 

You have asked for “details of any complaints by the public regarding
Wirral Cabinet decisions, and planning committee procedures and
decisions”. Please clarify the type of complaints you are seeking
information about, i.e. is it planning in general or more specifically in
relation to certain planning applications? 

 

For your information, the Cabinet is responsible for the Council’s key
decisions, these decisions are then subject to scrutiny by one of four
[1]Policy and Performance Committees.

 

Once you have made your request clear, we can allocate your enquiry to the
relevant department(s) and further progress your request as per section
1(3) of the FOI Act (2000). Your enquiry has been placed on hold pending
your response and we will aim to issue a substantive response within 20
working days of receipt of your clarification.

With regards to Cabinet decisions, I would again advise that these are subject to scrutiny by one of four Policy and Performance Committees.
