C2058539 and C2052471: Complaints about the FCO investigated by the Parliamentary Ombudsman

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman,

Please could the PHSO provide an FOI relating to the decision to overturn Carissa Tossell's decision, evidenced in her March 12th 2019 letter, to investigate the FCO for its failure to assist British victims of alleged 'psychological torture' in Switzerland, made eight days later and just days before Carissa Tossell left the PHSO. If there is a lack of independence from the UK Government by the PHSO, the public have the right to know.

Yours faithfully,

Susan Britton

Dear InformationRights,

Thank you for your response.

I am requesting information on why the decision of March 12th 2019 to carry forward complaints about the FCO was overturned by March 20th 2019, and who decided to overturn this decision.

Thank you in anticipation of your kind assistance.

Yours sincerely,

Susan Britton
