Dear Tendring District Council,

Can you please advise if you have any byelaws relating to the use off UAVs from your land, and if so can you please elder provide a copy or the link to their location on a website.

If you do not have any byelaws, do you have any other policies relating to the use of UAVs on your land?

Can you finally advise if these have been reviewed in relation to CAP722C (https://publicapps.caa.co.uk/modalapplic...) published by the Civil Aviation Authority in December 2020.

Yours faithfully,

Simon Hawkins

Dear Simon,

Thank you for your request for information regarding Byelaws relating to UAV Flights, which was received on 21/01/21. Please see below and attached the answers to your enquiry.

Q1: Can you please advise if you have any byelaws relating to the use off UAVs from your land, and if so can you please elder provide a copy or the link to their location on a website.

Answer - No bylaws, users will need to ensure they follow the drone code set out by the Civil Aviation Authority

Q2: If you do not have any byelaws, do you have any other policies relating to the use of UAVs on your land?

Answer - The drone policy covers the district in a generic way (due to be updated with current CAA legislation). Drone policy covers that any filming/commercial requests requires the drone operator to hold all necessary and up to date operations manual, insurance and CAA permissions. These will all be checked prior to permissions being granted/denied.

Q3: Can you finally advise if these have been reviewed in relation to CAP722C (https://publicapps.caa.co.uk/modalapplic...) published by the Civil Aviation Authority in December 2020.

Answer - The drone policy due to be updated with current CAA legislation.

I hope this information is of assistance to you.
