Byelaws relating to UAV Flights
Dear South Norfolk District Council,
Can you please advise if you have any byelaws relating to the use off UAVs from your land, and if so can you please elder provide a copy or the link to their location on a website.
If you do not have any byelaws, do you have any other policies relating to the use of UAVs on your land?
Can you finally advise if these have been reviewed in relation to CAP722C (https://publicapps.caa.co.uk/modalapplic...) published by the Civil Aviation Authority in December 2020.
Yours faithfully,
Simon Hawkins

Dear Simon
I refer to your Freedom of Information request to which I am now in a
position to respond on behalf of South Norfolk Council.
I can advise that we do not allow the use of any type of aircraft on
commons we are responsible for. Attached are the relevant schemes of
regulations and byelaws. None of the Byelaws specifically mentions UAVs
but the byelaws were written before these came about, and we would say
that UAV’s are covered under this byelaw. All commons the Council manages
have the same basic byelaws.
I hope this is of assistance and is sufficient to meet your requirements,
but if, for whatever reason you wish to get back to me, please feel free
to do so. In particular if you are unhappy with the information provided
or how your request was handled please let me know and I will explain how
you can request an internal review of our decision.
Please quote SFOI 21-25 in any further correspondence concerning this
request.
Regards
Sue
