Dear Royal Veterinary College,

I would like to inquire statistics of those who applied, got interviews and offers for the 5 year medicine veterinary course for 2022, 2023 Entry.

Could I also know the statistics of those who applied as a second degree? How many got interviews, offers and rejected?

Yours faithfully,

Tanya

Dear Tanya,

Having conducted a search of the RVC’s records, we can confirm that it
does hold information relevant to your request. Please find the
information below.

Overall applications:

  Applications Interviews Offers
2023/4 1032 472 277
2022/3 1246 579 313

For Graduate applicants we do not specifically record which applicants are
graduate or otherwise therefore this data has been derived based
applicants who indicated on their applications that, upon enrolment with
the RVC, they would hold a qualification that was degree level or higher
(e.g. includes people in their final year of a degree). This does not mean
that this qualification was acceptable for entry; they may have been
undertaking qualifications at a lower level to fulfil our requirements.
This also only reflects applicants to the 5 year veterinary medicine and
not our 4 year Accelerated degree, designed for those holding a relevant
degree.

Graduates Applications Interviews Offers  Rejected Withdrew
2023/4 95 48 25 60 11
2022/3 120 66 36 76 8
