Business representations re the A29 road, realignment options and Woodgate Crossing

Ian Truin made this Freedom of Information request to Arun District Council

This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

The request was successful.

Dear Arun District Council,

At a recent meeting of the Local Plan Sub Committee Cllr Nash quoted from a recent document received from Bognor Regis Limited regarding the A29 and Woodgate Crossing, including apparent references to Sainsbury using Nectar card data to apparently demonstrate the behaviour of Arun district residents regarding shopping at Chichester or Bognor Sainsbury stores based on relative journey times. This document is not filed in the local Plan representations on the ADC website.

Please let me have copies of every letter, email, report, minute, note and other written documents/files from, to and on behalf of Arun District Council/ Officers / Councillors and Arun based business owners and/or directors / managers and their agents / consultants, business organisations and groups e.g. Bognor Regis Limited, FSB, CBI etc, that express opinions, quantify or cite factual data regarding the effects of the extant A29 and its realignment options and/or Woodgate Crossing (historically, currently, prospectively or as dealt with in ADC Plan documents)on the economic regeneration or general economic well being of the area, since 2003.

Yours faithfully,

Ian Truin

Arun often try to avoid disclosing information on this web site by responding privately. I suspect that they will be uncomfortable with information like this being publicly available.

If they try and avoid responding on this web site I hope that you will publish any information yourself - so that it can be read by all.

Thanks.

Tony

Ian,
Useful information in that all they can produce is ONE letter from an organisation that calls itself "the Voice of Bognor Regis Business" yet has only 21 members, some of them not even IN Bognor Regis. Clearly another sham organisation fluttering around Arun's candle flame, along with the sham Bognor Regis Regeneration Board and the nearly sham Town Centre Traders group, both of them created by Arun and having practically no membership.
