Business plan and marketing of Royal International Pavilion Llangollen

Dear Denbighshire Council,

Please would you send me all the information you hold about the business plan, management and marketing of the Royal International Pavilion Llangollen for the period 2006 to date.

Within this I wish to have information about the costs of the facility, the revenue raised from events and other activities, and the interaction with the International Eisteddfod.

I am particularly interested in all information related to the marketing slogan "Engaging in excellence with the global community." I would like to know how it arose, who wrote it, and what costs were incurred by Denbighshire in creating and using it.

The information I seek includes but will not be limited by reports, decision papers, minutes of meeting, notes of telephone calls, e-mails and other electronic communications.

I would prefer to receive the information in electronic form. My preferred language is English. Where information is available to teh public through a website I would be happy to be told the link.

I would like to offer an apology for the delay in my response but the process of searching for the information you required is now complete and I can now advise you as follows:

Management and Marketing
A new Venue Director was appointed to deliver and manage the new business plan from June 2010. In November 2010, the business plan was reviewed in response to the developments in the economic climate and amendments made accordingly.

Q2. Within this I wish to have information about the costs of the facility, the revenue raised from events and other activities, and the interaction with the International Eisteddfod.

Interaction with Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod (LIME)
A working group involving members from the council and LIME was formed in 2010. An exclusion period occurs for one month on the year for the set up, actual event and break down which takes place in July. During this exclusion period, the council support the event with a contributing budget.

Q3. I am particularly interested in all information related to the marketing slogan "Engaging in excellence with the global community." I would like to know how it arose, who wrote it, and what costs were incurred by Denbighshire in creating and using it. A3. Marketing Slogan - Engaging in excellence with the local community
The marketing slogan to which you refer is not associated with the venue but with Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod. Under section 1(1)(a) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 I can confirm that we do not hold the information you have requested and therefore, I cannot comply with this part of your request.
