Business case for the Queensway Gateway road

The request was partially successful.

Dear Essex County Council,
I am requesting this information from you as the accountable body for the South East Local Enterprise Partnership.

SELEP has awarded £15m of Growth Deal money to East Sussex to pay for the Queensway Gateway road (QGR) in Hastings.

On page 9 of this SELEP document:http://www.southeastlep.com/components/c..., the SELEP board is asked to approve funding for all projects achieving high value for money (a benefit:cost ratio (BCR) greater than 2:1). The Queensway Gateway road is listed as one of those projects.

I would like to see the calculations used to assess the BCR for the QGR. I would like to see the final BCR figure for the road and all the assumptions on which it was based, for instance the number of jobs to be created, the total cost, the environmental disbenefits etc.

Yours faithfully,

Andrea Needham
