Buses.
Dear Swansea Council,
I am making a Freedom Of Information Act request about your buses that you operate.
Note that my request and all of my questions is only in relation to your public registered bus routes that you directly operate.
So this is in regards to your routes numbers - 142 - services.
My questions are as follows:
• Please provide the current faretables (showing all of the Single fares and Return fares and all other tickets that you issue and accept) for all of your bus routes.
• What ticket machines (make and model) do you currently use.
• Please attach a copy of the manual for your ticket machines.
• Please attach a copy of your current running boards for all days of the week.
• Please provide a current fleet list (showing the reg number and make and model and fuel type (eg diesel or electric etc)) for your current bus fleet.
• How many bus drivers do you currently employ.
• What is the wage that your bus drivers get paid.
• How many operational staff or other staff involved in running your buses (so anyone involved in your bus operation other than bus drivers) do you employ.
• What is the wage that these other bus employees (eg operational staff or anyone else involved in your bus operation other than bus drivers) get paid.
• Where is the location of your bus depot where you park your buses.
• What facilities (eg bus wash or fuelling facilities or maintenance shed or office buildings or staff canteen or anything else you may have there) are located at your bus depot.
• Can you attach a copy of the Conditions Of Carriage for your bus services.
• Please attach the ticket sale statistics (showing how many of each ticket was sold on each route) for each route for the past twelve months.
• Please attach the passenger usage statistics (showing how many passengers used each route) for each route for the past twelve months.
Thank you for your help and i look forward to your response to my Freedom Of Information Act request.
Yours faithfully,
Edward Harris

Dear Lee Davies,
Thank you for your reply.
However according to the information published online all route 142 journeys are operated by DANSA except for the following journeys:
• TUE - 09:50 - Tyn-Y-Cwm to Morriston 10:18
• TUE - 13:20 - Morriston to Tyn-Y-Cwm 13:48
• THU - 09:50 - Tyn-Y-Cwm to Morriston 10:18
• THU - 13:20 - Morriston to Tyn-Y-Cwm 13:48
The above journeys are shown as being run by Swansea Council directly which is why i am confused about your reply stating that you do not run the 142 service.
For example here it clearly shows Swansea Council directly operating these journeys:
https://bustimes.org/services/142-morris...
While the other journeys are shown as being run by DANSA as shown here:
https://bustimes.org/services/142-morris...
Also the timetable published on the DANSA website excludes these journeys which makes me think Swansea Council still runs them.
Can you please clarify this? Is the information online not correct? Do you not directly operate these 142 journeys currently? Any clarification would be appreciated as it is saying online that you directly operate some of the 142 journeys?
Thank you for your help.
Yours sincerely,
Edward Harris
Dear Mr Harris
I refer to you e-mail below received 7th April 2022.
Unfortunately, the timetable information for Service 142 on the bustimes.org website, for which you have sent a link, is out of date. It is still showing the very reduced frequency timetable that operated after the first lockdown in Summer 2020. This was operated for a short period by Swansea Council rather than DANSA. Swansea Council has not operated any registered local bus services since December 2020.
We do not know from which source bustimes.org obtains its timetables information and therefore we are unable to ask for the Service 142 timetable to be corrected.
The current timetable for Service 142 is attached. All of the journeys are operated by DANSA.

Dear Environment FOI,
Thank you for your quick reply and clarification. That is very helpful to know. I will email the bustimes website and let them know it is out of date. As you no longer directly operate any public registered bus services you can close my request now. Thank you for your help.
Yours sincerely,
Edward Harris
