Bus stops for route 384

Fraser Andre-Best made this Freedom of Information request to Barnet Borough Council Automatic anti-spam measures are in place for this older request. Please let us know if a further response is expected or if you are having trouble responding.

The request was successful.

Fraser Andre-Best

Dear Barnet Borough Council,

This document (https://content.tfl.gov.uk/route-384-pos...) released by TfL suggests that you were in the process of getting technical advice and securing funds for bus stops along route 384 in 2021. The intention was to get bus stops on the eastern end of the route in place by the end of that year. It is now 2024. Please could you advise the following:

1. Are you still seeking to place bus stops along route 384, if so, where and what stage of planning/development is each stop at? Is there a timeline for implementation of these stops?

2. Can you share the most recent designs for these stops that TfL mention you initially completed in 2021 (they were concept designs at that stage, but may now have progressed to detailed designs)?

3. Please disclose presentations, minutes of any meetings or copies of any emails with TfL regarding future bus network planning or service changes in Barnet, including discussion on conversion of Hail & Ride areas to fixed stops, within the last 6 months.

Yours faithfully,

Fraser Andre-Best

Dear Barnet Borough Council,

Thank you for your response.

You state that it will take approx 18 hours to answer my original request, which asks for all related email correspondence. I have removed the ask for email correspondence below, which should reduce the time taken to answer this request significantly. Therefore, please could you process questions 1 and 2 in my original request, with the following revision to question 3 to ensure that it meets the appropriate limit:

3. Please disclose presentations or minutes of any meetings with TfL regarding future bus network planning or service changes in Barnet, including discussion on conversion of Hail & Ride areas to fixed stops, within the last 6 months.

If this revised question still does not meet the appropriate limit, please advise me and I will limit the scope of question 3 further.

Yours faithfully,

Fraser Andre-Best

Unfortunately we are unable to process your request without further

This is because we need further information / details from you in order to

please clarify the following:-

3. Please disclose presentations or minutes of any meetings with TfL
regarding future bus network planning or service changes in Barnet,
including discussion on conversion of Hail & Ride areas to fixed stops,
within the last 6 months.

There are many areas of Barnet Council that will have discussions on
matters of this type with TfL, which makes the question too broad to ask
as a whole. However, if you are able to pintpoint a specific bus route, or
small number of specific bus routes, we are likely to be able to answer in
the allowed timeframe.

If we do not receive the clarification requested we will be unable to
process your request.  If we do not hear from you by (21 March 2024), we
will take it that you do not wish to pursue this request and will consider
the request closed.

Please note that when you provide clarification the period for
compliance(20 working days) restarts.  The compliance date for response to
you request will therefore be 20 working days after you provide
clarification.
