I am writing with reference to your FOI request received on 10^th
September 2018 regarding Bus Lane Penalty Charge Notices. We have
considered your request under the terms of the Freedom of Information Act
and our response is below.

I wish to request the following information under the Environmental

Cambridge from 1/1/17 to the current date 2. The total number of
representations made during this period 3. The number of successful
representations made during this perion 4. A summary of the grounds on
which the successful representations were made

 

Response

1. The number of bus lane penalty charge notices issued for Station Road,
Cambridge from 1/1/17 to the current date.

There have been 8,620 bus lane penalty charge notices issued for Station
Road Cambridge from 1^st January 2017 to the current date.

 

2. The total number of representations made during this period.

The total number of representations made is 438

 

3. The number of successful representations made during this period.

There has been 49 successful representations made during this period.

 

4. A summary of the grounds on which the successful representations were
made.

Reasons for successful representations were due to permitted emergency
vehicles, taxis, buses, minibuses, utility vehicles, mitigating
circumstances, double jeopardy and processing errors.
