Dear South East of Scotland Transport Partnership (SEStran),

I am writing to make a request for information under section 1 of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002.

Please can you confirm whether SEStran holds any information produced since its establishment which relates to the matters of:
a) The costs and benefits of bus franchising - both in general, and specifically within the SEStran area.
b) Whether, how and when a system of bus franchising should be implemented in the SEStran area.

If any such information exists, please can you provide it to me.

Yours faithfully,

Kenneth MacArthur

Anna Herriman, South East of Scotland Transport Partnership

Dear Kenneth MacArthur,

Thank you for your information request (below), which was received on 12 April 2021.

I can confirm that SEStran doesn’t hold any information relating specifically to matters of bus franchising; also, at this time, SEStran doesn't have any planned assessments of the potential for bus franchising in the SEStran area either.

As an aside, any information that is commissioned or produced by SEStran can be found, in the public domain, on our website www.sestran.gov.uk/publications

Yours sincerely,
