I refer to your recent request for information under the Freedom of
Information Act 2000. I can confirm that the Council does hold this
information, as detailed below.

 

Please can you respond with a list of the total burials and cremations by
year from 2015 through to 2020 for Sunderland as a Borough

This information has been provided in response to a Freedom of Information
request and this must be acknowledged in any subsequent use of the
information. In addition, the authority must be notified of any proposed

I can provide the following clarification:

The numbers of cremations reflect the number of people who were cremated in Sunderland Council cremation facilities.

The number of burials reflect the number of adults or infants buried in a coffin in a Sunderland Council Cemetery.
