Dear Mr Gentry

TfL Ref: FOI-4692-1718

Thank you for your email received by us on 27 February 2018 asking for
information about bullying and harassment cases within London Underground
(LU).

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of
the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can
confirm that we hold some of the information you require.

Please see the number of cases we have closed in LU that fall under
harassment and bullying by the requested years:

2013 2014 2015 2016 2017 2018 (so far)
85 78 65 49 61 7

We have had 345 cases in LU from 2013 to 2018.

Unfortunately, to answer all the other details requested such as was it
harassment or bullying, how many went to CDI, what was the outcome etc
would involve us going through each case and looking at the various notes
captured. This would exceed the ‘appropriate limit’ of £450 set by the
Freedom of Information (Appropriate Limit and Fees) Regulations 2004.
Under section 12 of the FOI Act, we are not obliged to comply with a
request if we estimate that the cost of determining whether we hold the
information, locating and retrieving it and extracting it from other
information would exceed the appropriate limit. This is calculated at £25
per hour for every hour spent on the activities described.

To help bring the cost of responding to your request within the £450
limit, you may wish to consider narrowing its scope so that we can more
easily locate, retrieve and extract the information you are seeking. For
example you may wish to reduce the amount of information requested by
refining your request to concentrate on matters which are important to
you.

Although your request can take the form of a question, rather than a
request for specific documents, TfL does not have to answer your question
if it would require the creation of new information or the provision of a
judgement, explanation, advice or opinion that was not already recorded at
the time of your request. If you have specific questions relating to these
topics we may be more easily able to respond to these than to a request
for any information held.

If this is not the information you are looking for, or if you are unable
to access it for any reason, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to
appeal as well as information on copyright and what to do if you would
like to re-use any of the information we have disclosed.

Yours sincerely

Dear FOI,
Thank you for this.

The third part of your response is unclear to the question 8 Cases referred to CDI was there a CDI appeal and how many, the decision
of the appeal. Was sanction upheld or not upheld or variation to decision?

You refer to a table but no table is present, can you clarify this part of the answer please?
