Bullying and Harassment in the Charter Market

Waiting for an internal review by Lancaster City Council of their handling of this request.

Dear Lancaster City Council,

Please could you provide figures for the following
department for the period 2018 - current:

1. The number of market traders and the members of the public reporting bullying or harassment from the market supervisor.
2. The number of grievances submitted by the market traders on
bullying and/or harassment at the hands of the market supervisor/manager.
3. The number of investigations carried out into such allegations and how many of those allegations were proven either internally or at the local Ombudsman.
4. How many instances of disciplinary action that were taken
against civil servants found guilty of bullying or harassing a member of staff and the market traders.
5. The number of civilian staff against whom an allegation of bullying and/or harassment was substantiated and no further action was taken and the reason for each decision not to proceed with some form of sanction or disciplinary procedure.
6. The number of resignations or requests for transfer to another line manager, Directorate within the Council or another Govt Dept citing bullying and/or harassment as the reason.
7. What disciplinary or other follow up actions were taken as a result of those investigations?
8. How many market traders have left the market citing bullying or harassment as one of the reasons ?
9. How many cases went to appeal?
10. How many cases were successful after appeal?

Thank you for your request received on 18th August 2020 in which you asked
for the following information from Lancaster City Council:

about any individual’s disciplinary record as this is their personal
data and would be contrary to the Data Protection Act 2018 and GDPR
principles
