This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

On what grounds did CFO Malcolm Saunders retire from Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service.

If he retired on medical grounds due to ill health, was it due to work related factors/conditions.

If he retired on medical grounds,please state the mechanism to retire ,example
* examined by brigade nurse
* examined by brigade doctor/consultant
* examined by independent specialist consultant.

Who oversaw the process of retirement of the CFO and decided the criteria of the medical information on which to retire him.

Please provide all information in electronic format via this website.I would ask you to remember the statutory duty imposed upon Trusts by virtue of Section 16 of the Freedom of Information Act to provide advice and assistance to requesters.If for any reason you are leaning toward rejecting any part of this request or plan to argue that this is unmanageable or unanswerable in any way,then I would expect you to contact me promptly to find ways to answer this request to our mutual satisfaction.
