Dear Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service,

This is a request for information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
I would like to know how many employees of Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service have been absent from work due to either stress,nervous debility, anxiety,depression,PTSD or any combination of these ailments between January 1997 and September 2010.(with the dates and duration of their absence.)

Please also confirm how many complaints of bullying have been made by employees of MF&RS against managers and/or colleagues during this same period.(again with dates)

How many personnel of MF&RS have been diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, due to work related conditions.(again with dates)from January 1979 to the present day.

If so, was it diagnosed by the brigade medical practitioner.
(Giving the name of the brigade practitioner/ consultant.)

How many attempted suicides/deaths after suffering from stress,anxiety,depression,PTSD or mental debility,have been recorded of personnel from MF&RS from January 1979 to the present day.

Please provide all information in electronic format via this website. I would ask that you remember the statutory duty imposed upon Trusts by virtue of Section 16 of the Freedom of Information Act to provide advice and assistance to requesters.If for any reason you are leading toward rejecting any part of this request or if you plan to argue that it is unmanageable or unanswerable in any way then I would expect you to contact me promptly to find ways to answer this request to our mutual satisfaction.
