Building International Confidence in the Integrity of both NICS Staff Performance Appraisal Reports and traditional NICS Staff Sacking Procedures.

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Department of Justice (Northern Ireland) should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Department of Justice (Northern Ireland),

I would be grateful please for a record of the number of cases where the forensic resources of the RUC/ PSNI have had to be used to winkle out the identities of authors of defamatory, inappropriate, signatory disowned markings and comments contained in NICS Staff Performance Appraisal Sacking Reports?

Figures should please be supplied for each of the last thirty years say, together with a copy of any reports studies or papers that may have been prepared on trends or patterns in the use of such technology.

Yours faithfully,

AIDAN QUINN

Dear Department of Justice (Northern Ireland),
Hey we’re almost overdue. Not to worry.
The thing is, you see that, in most societies, anonymous hatemail ( and nowadays there is plenty of it about everywhere) is normally, and quite sensibly, regarded as the work of cranks or internet trolls etc . Personally for instance I almost never check my junk mail folders but I am sure that if I did would probably find an enormous crop of objectionable materials of all sorts and descriptions that is called Junk for a reason and that I wisely ignore totally .
However we have to sell N Ireland as a modern investable destination where fundamental Human Rights and Rights to Justice are respected
I do hope you can at least begin to see that long term NICS refusal to establish authorship of grossly defamatory materials that it relies on to sack people immediately, and of itself, renders N Ireland an uninvestable destination, not even beginning to approach Investment Grade. I really do hope I don’t have to get an Investor Rep to explain the thinking involved, I really don’t.
Perhaps as follow up you would please advise if NICS has ever provided an explanation for its refusal to undertake the most fundamental of forensic checks before rushing headlong into unfairly sacking an OOP? No one ever pretended that Civil Service Reform was easy. No one ever pretended that attracting Investment to a place unprepared to undertake the most basic of Forensic checks was easy either.

Good Luck. I wish you well. Indeed I do. Look after yourself and your staff. DOJ is worth it.

Yours faithfully,

AIDAN QUINN
