Dear North East Lincolnshire Council,

Hi

I have just been informed that you only have to hold on to building control documents/planning for 16 years

If this is the case,

when was they last pruned
and how often are the records pruned list all times between 2005 and current
When did NELC start this practice ( you did not use it before )

for the avoidence of doubt, there seems to be quite a lot missing from around this area http://planninganddevelopment.nelincs.go...

specifically, am after all the notices placed against the propertys on ainslie street ( 86-98 even numbers only ) for clearance ( 1997 onwards )

like this
http://www.grimsbytelegraph.co.uk/counci...

and the notice placed on the land ( formerly 86 ainsley street )

Yours faithfully,

George Cant

Response:

Planning:

“From 1997 onwards, no planning history/notices have been found for
numbers 72-82 Ainslie Street, Grimsby”.

Building Control:

Legal and Insurance advice to Building Control regarding the retention of
Building Regulation files has suggested that it is necessary to only
retain files for a period of 16 years. While the files are stored
electronically there are records which exist as far back as 1985, although
Building Control cannot guarantee that the records which are more than 16
years old will be complete or consistent.

There are no records suggesting when the advice on storage of records was
received, however the practice has been on-going for a number of years.

The following is a record of Building Regulation applications having been
submitted for the even numbers 72 through to 82 Ainslie Street, Grimsby:-

72 Ainslie Street - No records

74 Ainslie Street – No records
