Please provide the following information:

1, For each financial year from March/April 2019, provide the approved budget for the running and management of the council's dedicated press office

2, For each financial year from March/April 2019, provide the number of full-time and part-time staff employed by the council's dedicated press office

3, For each financial year from March/April 2019, provide the name of the executive or corporate director responsible for the running and management of the council's dedicated press office

4, For each financial year from March/April 2019, provide the amounts spent on outsourced media support for the running and management of the council's dedicated press office, and where possible identify the contractors involved and the task/project for which they were engaged

Further to your request received on 24/09/2024, I confirm that the Council
has now considered your request under the Freedom of Information Act
2000. For ease of reference, I will now address each of your questions in
turn.

 

1. For each financial year from March/April 2019, provide the approved
budget for the running and management of the councils dedicated press
office

This is the total net expenditure for the press office:

2019/2020: Budget – £385,000. Outturn - £407,361
2020/2021: Budget - £410,000. Outturn - £173,841
2021/2022: Budget - £195,000. Outturn - £99,278
2023/2024: Budget - £215,000. Outturn - £146,124

2. For each financial year from March/April 2019, provide the number of
full-time and part-time staff employed by the councils dedicated press
office

From 2021-2024 there have been 3 full time members of staff in the
council’s dedicated press office. Figures are not available before 2021.

3. For each financial year from March/April 2019, provide the name of the
executive or corporate director responsible for the running and management
of the councils dedicated press office

2019/2020 – Hazel Simmonds
2020/2021 – Hazel Simmonds / Elaine Jackson
2021/2022 – Elaine Jackson
2023/2024 – Elaine Jackson
2024/2025 – Elaine Jackson/Marie Snelling

4. For each financial year from March/April 2019, provide the amounts
spent on outsourced media support for the running and management of the
councils dedicated press office, and where possible identify the
contractors involved and the task/project for which they were engaged.

There has been no outsourced media support for the running and management
of the council’s press office, in any year from 2019.
