Thank you for your request for information, which was received by
Manchester City Council on 07/08/2014 and has been considered under the
provisions of the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

You asked:

1/ Where elective home education currently sits in your authority

In response to your request, I have summarised the information as follows.

Elective home education is managed by the Children and Families
Directorate.

a. In 2013-14, S251 Budget Line 1.2.4 Other Alternative Provision Services
included an allocation for elective home education services.

b. In 2014-15, S251 Budget Line 1.2.7 Other Alternative Provision Services
included an allocation for elective home education services.

In the current financial year, a budget of £20,000 has been allocated to
elective home education services.
The forward budget sum allocated to elective home education services for
the next financial year is yet to be agreed with Manchester’s Schools
Forum.

Please note if you are not satisfied with this response you may ask for an
internal review. If you wish to complain you should contact the
