3/ What is the budget sum allocated to elective home education
services for the current year
4/ What is the forward budget sum allocated to elective home
education services for the next financial year

Thank you for your request for information made under the Freedom of
Information Act (FOIA) 2000, relating to Elective Home Education. Please
accept my sincere apologies for the slight delay in responding to you; I
appreciate that the Council has not complied with statutory timescales on
this occasion. I am pleased to provide the response below:
1) Where elective home education currently sits in your authority?
Within Fair Access, part of Education and Young People’s Services
Directorate.
2) Which line in the s251 table included an allocation for elective home
education services in a) 2013-14 and b) 2014-15?
In both years split over ‘support for inclusion’ and ‘education welfare
service’ lines of the s251 budget statement.
3) What is the budget sum allocated to elective home education services
for the current year?
£165k
4) What is the forward budget sum allocated to elective home education
services for the next financial year?
Kent County Council does not hold this information. Budgets for 2015/16
will be not approved until February 2015.
