Please could you tell me the following:

1/ Where elective home education currently sits in your authority
2/ Which line in the s251 table included an allocation for elective
home education services in a/ 2013-14 and b/ 2014-15
3/ What is the budget sum allocated to elective home education
services for the current year
4/ What is the forward budget sum allocated to elective home
education services for the next financial year

Hi Fiona,

Further to my response in January 2013 to a similar question you asked, in
Gateshead we have an EHE team which consists of a co-ordinator, liaison
teacher and administrative support staff. All of these staff sit within
the educationGateshead service who support schools, learners and parents.
Given the varied support roles these staff carry out not only in relation
to EHE but within the wider context of education support following the
amalgamation of a number of different teams/roles as I previously
mentioned, we are therefore unable to put an actual cost on this support,
however, the overall budget is held within the s251 table 2.0.4. school
improvement for both 2013/14 and 2014/15.
