1/ Where elective home education currently sits in your authority?

Response: This service sits within the Learning Services division of the
Peoples Directorate.

2/ Which line in the s251 table included an allocation for elective home
education services in a/ 2013-14 and b/ 2014-15?

Response: For both years this budget is included within the line described
as ‘Hospital Education Services’, which in 2013-14 was 1.2.7  and in
2014-15 was line 1.2.6. This is due to our service being structured in
such a way as to review/monitor all children’s education outside of school
premises, with no specific budgetary split between service elements.

3/ What is the budget sum allocated to elective home education services
for the current year?

Response: The budget for Home Education is an integral element within our
‘Hospital and Education Other Than At School’ budget which in total
amounts to £182,550.

4/ What is the forward budget sum allocated to elective home education
services for the next financial year ?

Response: The indicative budget for 2015-16 is £182,550. Final allocations
will be agreed during the 2015-16 budget setting process.
