BSF and Academy information

The request was successful.

Dear Tameside Borough Council,

I would like to make a request for the following information regarding the Building Schools for the Future (BSF) and Academy programmes.

1) Which schools and academies in your area are either undergoing redevelopment as a result of the BSF and Academy programmes or will do in the future, listing which are confirmed to be going ahead either currently or in the future and which are awaiting a review before they can be confirmed. If all BSF/Academy developments in your area have been cancelled due to the spending cuts, then this is all I need to be informed of and you can disregard the following requested details.

2) The start and completion dates for the building works on each school and academy, with attention paid to make sure that these are up-to-date as I understand that the estimated start and completion dates may well have changed since the BSF and Academy spending cuts in July/August.

3) The main building contractor and architect which you have awarded each school to. If this decision has not yet been made for certain schools, then the expected date when you plan to make your decision on this.

Yours faithfully,

Mr T Hyatt

Dear Elaine Todd,

Your response to myself entitled "FOIA 277 Response letter Gary Tumulty" was sent in error, as it is an answer to a different request by someone else.

The confusion might have been due to the questions both being regarding schools and due to my use of the whatdotheyknow website as a portal to make my question (As Gary Tumulty may also have made hsi request through there).

I have repeated my original request below and hope that you can respond when possible.

"Dear Tameside Borough Council,

programmes.

requested details.

school and academy, with attention paid to make sure that these are
up-to-date as I understand that the estimated start and completion
dates may well have changed since the BSF and Academy spending cuts

Dear Elaine Biggins,

Thank you very much for your reply.

I think this met my need, but there is just one portion of your reply that I would like to check. In response to my third question:

"3) The main building contractor and architect which you have awarded each school to. If this decision has not yet been made for certain schools, then the expected date when you plan to make your decision on this."

you replied:

"3) All projects are being delivered through the Tameside LEP by Carillion"

Just to confirm I understand this correctly, does this mean that Carillion are the Contractor and Architect for all the listed schools?

Yours sincerely,

T Hyatt

Elaine Biggins, Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council

Dear Sir/Madam

Carillion are the building company and also procure the Architects from various companies.

Dear Elaine Biggins,

Thank you very much for your reply.

As Carillion are not the architect for any of the various schools I would just like to check if you could confirm who the architects are, as this was something I inquired about in my original email.
