Dear Mr Green,

With regards to your recent FoI enquiry, as you have only identified yourself by a single name, please can you supply appropriate proof of your correct identity, such as a scan of your passport or driver's licence? You can submit a copy of your ID to [email address] (GLPD[dot]Info[dot]Rights[at]lse[dot]ac[dot]uk)

I am seeking this information as section 8(1)(b) of the Freedom of Information Act requires that a request for information must include the real name of the requester. The name provided should be sufficient to identify the requestor. If this is not provided, the request will be invalid and you will not have any further rights of complaint to the Information Commissioner. This is particularly important should we exempt some or all of the information you have requested, in order to allow you to request an internal review or ultimately complain to the ICO. Please note: your ID will not be retained once your identify has been confirmed.

Yours sincerely,

The Information Rights Team

Dear GLPD.Info.Rights,

I understood that under the guidance given by the information commissioners office, the use of Mr followed by my surname is an acceptable form of identification as my real name.

‘The Commissioner recognises that there are different ways of expressing a real name.

Where an individual uses a title followed by a first name and a surname, any variation of the requester’s title or first name combined with their surname (e.g. Miss Wong or Natalie Wong) is sufficient to meet this requirement.’

Please let me know if this is not the case, If it is acceptable, please refer to my previous request.

Yours sincerely,

Mr Green

Dear Mr Green,

We have reviewed your request and, in this instance, will proceed with answering it. However, please be advised that if you have used a pseudonym rather than your real name for this request, you will be unable to make a complaint to the Commissioner should you be dissatisfied with the response.

We will respond to your request no later than Monday 18 December 2023.

Yours sincerely,

Dear Mr Green,

Your FoI request has been forwarded to the appropriate team within the
School to answer. However, our colleagues have come back to us seeking
clarification as to whether you are requesting this data for Home UK
students only? They have noted that ethnicity data is only relevant for
HUK cohort. Once you confirm, they will be able to proceed with compiling
the requested data.

Yours sincerely,
